Whether you own an iPod, iPad, iPhone, or Mac, you've likely dealt with Apple's technological gurus known as 'Geniuses.'  No doubt they were able to solve whatever problem you had, too. Well, BMW has taken notice of the no-sales-pitch nature of Apple's solve-anything electronic experts and plan on starting their own 'genius' program.

Offering help to any customer of the numerous new BMW dealerships around the globe, these BMW Geniuses would offer the sage advice and automotive know-how you'd expect anyone with such a title. However, their vast knowledge lies in more specific aspects: the features and electronic elements of the various vehicles.

It's important to note that these luxury luminaries are not salesmen. While the salesmen do have an obligation to explain aspects of a car to the potential buyer, BMW board member for sales and marketing, Ian Robertson, believes "break[ing] the process up into bite-sized chunks" would prevent the customer from feeling overwhelmed by the deluge of features and innovations prominent in every BWM.1

Stated simply, the genius' purpose is to educate you, the buyer, on what the various electronics, dials, and buttons do.

So when will we see the Geniuses down here at Autohaus BMW?  Our favorite German automaker plans on rolling out the American program by the end of the year so, by the beginning of the following year, we'll be seeing Geniuses at every dealership, all across the country. If you didn't have anything to look forward to in 2014 yet, now you do.

Looking forward to getting a new BMW a little sooner? Come on down to 3015 South Hanley Road in Saint Louis, MO 63143 and check out what our show floor has to offer. If you find the model that speaks to your unique needs and style, our financial masters can secure you a loan or BMW lease so you can drive home in luxury today!
