With summer quickly approaching, the anticipation for the new BMW M5 and M6 keeps growing. At Autohaus BMW, we can't wait. We've been searching for more information regarding these finely tuned performance machines. The good news, we found some. BMW is planning on adding an optional Competition package.
This add on will be available on M5 and M6 models, including the Grand Coupe M6 and will add not only more power under the hood, but exterior styling as well. The new BMW cars equipped with the Competition package will receive an improved steering unit, a more throaty sport exhaust finished with 4 black tips, a stiffer suspension to provide better overall handling and 20-inch alloy wheels. It will most certainly turn heads in the greater St. Louis area.
The upgrade portion that will be found under the hood, will bring with it an additional 15-hp. That will boost the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 to 575 horsepower, while still governing the car to a top speed of 190 MPH.
