Much has been talked about when it comes to the BMW i3, as the compact electric vehicle gets ready for showrooms like ours. Of course, there are many people who are interested in the vehicle, but a lot of them might be new to the process of owning an electrified car. BMW understands this, and for first-time EV drivers so they can truly enjoy everything the i3 has to offer.

These new services are called 360 Electric, and help drivers overcome any perceived barriers that buying or leasing an electric car might have. What does it include?

To start, there are ChargeNow cards, which are good to use at ChargePoint's 14,000 charging stations across America. BMW will provide one for i3 and BMW i8 drivers, and thanks to BMW ConnectedDrive, the navigation system onboard will be able to locate the one nearest to you. Also, for those who live in San Francisco and the Bay Area, there is access to BMW's DriveNow car-sharing program, which provides 100 ActiveE vehicles to use while theirs charges.

You can also make your own charging station at home with a wall-mounted connector that can fully recharge the i3 in a short amount of time. BMW will even provide an in-home consultation from Bosch to see how you can charge from the garage.

Finally, BMW has teamed with SolarCity, and those who own the i3 or i8 can experience savings on rooftop solar-array systems in 2014.
