At Autohaus BMW, we love hearing fun stories about BMW's rich history. Of course, many of them are about our famous vehicles, but every so often we hear about a unique BMW creation, and this time, it was one of an aquatic nature.
In the 1950s, a boat using the BMW 507 as inspiration, right down to parts and the classic engine. It was an interesting experiment, but something that wasn't explored further, leaving this boat to be a very rare find. However, that didn't stop Felipe Garcia from finding it.
He was intrigued by the tale, and located the boat, had it restored, and BMW was there to capture some video of it in action. It certainly is a beauty, like every new BMW here in Saint Louis, MO.
