A particular upcoming electric model has generated quite a bit of buzz in the automotive news gauntlet for providing ultra-efficient driving with an accessible price tag. Unfortunately, it has a new rival to contend with: the 2016 BMW 330e. Building on the success of the i sub brand, the Bavarian automaker is bringing state-of-the-art electric driving to its perennial-favorite luxury sedan.

Announced last year, the 330e combines a potent petrol engine with an electric motor to put out a total 248 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. While those numbers may erode the worry of those who are used to "feebly performing" hybrids, we have even better news. This car drives just like the 3 Series we know and love, and even manages to get 72 MPGe to boot.

Looking for luxury and decreasing your carbon footprint in one fell swoop? There's no reason not to give the 2016 330e a shot. All it takes is a trip down to our BMW dealership in Saint Louis, MO and scheduling a test drive with us.
